AWACS flights to occur outside standard hours

The E-3A Component routinely provides airspace surveillance and control as part of national and international efforts to ensure the safety and security of political summits and other strategic world leadership events. The E-3A Component will fly in support of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen beginning 10 December 2009. It will therefore be necessary to conduct some flights outside of normal operating hours and possibly during the weekends.

The leadership of the E-3A Component recognizes the impact flying operations have on surrounding communities and works to minimize noise levels as much as possible.
